The most important issue comes right at the start: We at asola have a different understanding of quality compared to the solar technology sector generally. This is because the stringent quality standards in the automobile industry are much higher than those in the solar technology industry at large. Certified documents such as TS16949, CVs, FMEA, APQP and initial samples do not normally form part of the quality criteria required for the general solar technology sector, for example.

We at asola have grown up with these standards. We have been manufacturing in compliance with the quality requirements of the automotive industry from the outset. The demands on the product are much higher – and the benefits to customers, too. As in the auto industry, we subject our products to tough testing before they leave the factory. Intensive clearance tests are part and parcel of our corporate culture in the same way as just in time / just in sequence deliveries.
