The asola quality management system has been proven to meet all the ...
asola pursues a holistic approach. That includes primarily research and development in the field of solar technology. The ensuing results and innovations form the basis of our production and thus the quality of our modules. When we promise you a 25-year performance guarantee, we know from experience and know-how that our technology ensures that.
When asola was founded in 2001, the company’s founder and managing director Reinhard Wecker already possessed more than 15 years of experience in developing and manufacturing spherically curved solar panel sunroof modules. Consequently, asola has been more than “just” a manufacturing company since its inception. At asola, highest production quality goes hand in hand with applied research.
The company’s lab is equipped with a climate chamber and test laminator, among other things. Here engineers research automotive and roof-integrated developments and further develop traditional solar modules. Our research aims to improve the performance of solar modules and their service life. Another objective is to develop new solar energy systems.
asola is the absolute technology leader when it comes to automobile solar technology. These “automotive” systems are being specially developed for use in vehicles.
"Sunroof solar modules" are just some of these "automotive systems". They already reduce CO2 emissions by means of alternators that “can be switched off”. But there are other advantages too: The vehicle can be pre-air conditioned using an electrical air conditioner powered by solar energy. The list of other applications continues to grow. The battery of hybrid vehicles can also be charged using the "automotive" solar modules made by asola.
Driving a vehicle without any fossil fuels is not a utopia dream at asola. We are working on it.
